Sterling Cross Communications was created in 2003 in response to a rapidly changing public relations landscape. The act of reaching your customer was, at least relatively speaking, simple then. We knew that practices such as distributing a press release, buying advertising on TV, radio or in print was an effective path to telling your story. But we knew it wouldn’t stay that way.

And we were right. Websites, mobile technology, social media, and video has changed the how, when and why we communicate.

Sterling Cross Communications has been relaunched as Sterling Cross PR in 2019 with a services emphasis on the Public Relations work that we offer.

Founders Christopher and Mary Lower combined our prior corporate experience in retail marketing, investor relations, newsroom production, media relations and even comic book expertise to create a public relations agency that uses creative vision founded on solid marketing foundation to produce tangible results.

History

Christopher thrived in the social media community. Seen as a leader and innovator, he became a sought-after speaker and industry expert. Mary developed deep relationships with a network of targeted media outlets. Together they achieved PR success mixing traditional media relations and social media reach to achieve a message that was amplified as well as targeted.

Though a long battle with heart disease took Chris in 2017 (see below), his passions for learning and storytelling live on, not only in Mary and his family, but within the circle of collaborators they assembled for Sterling Cross Communications.

The goal of Sterling Cross Communications will always be, to find the most effective way to tell your story. Not unlike a diamond cutter, they craft the many facets of your message to captivate and motivate your intended audience, wherever they are and however they are most effectively reached.
